Caretaker Medical® mit Sitz in Charlottesville, Virginia, wurde im März 2014 gegründet, um tragbare Überwachungsgeräte zu vermarkten, die auf der patentierten Technologie der Pulsdekompisationsanalyse basieren.

Das Unternehmen hat das drahtlose, tragbare Caretaker-Überwachungssystem für Vitalparameter entwickelt, das einen neuen Standard in Sachen Tragbarkeit, Einfachheit und medizinischer Qualität von tragbaren Überwachungsgeräten setzt. Mit einer kleinen, komfortablen Fingermanschette misst CareTaker kontinuierlich und nicht-invasiv den Blutdruck (cNIBP“), die Herzfrequenz und die Atemfrequenz sowie das Blutvolumen (zur Erkennung von Blutungen), die Arterienverhärtung und andere hämodynamische Parameter.

Klinische Studien haben bestätigt, dass die Messungen von Caretaker anderen cNIBP-Überwachungssystemen und Methoden zur Herzfrequenzmessung gleichwertig sind. Das Unternehmen geht davon aus, dass sein innovativer Ansatz zur Überwachung der Vitalparameter in der medizinischen Gemeinschaft breite Akzeptanz finden wird und gleichzeitig die bestehenden Lösungen zur Patientenüberwachung beeinflussen wird.

Dr. Hutchison brings a wealth of leadership experience as a managing partner of Art of Healthcare, Executive Hospital Group and TDJ, past president of Lynchburg Academy of Medicine, as well as a board member for Medical Society of Virginia Political Action Committee, Integrated Health Care and Madaktari Africa. He has also played a key role in growing Blue Ridge Ear, Nose and Throat from small practice to a 7 provider, fully digitally integrated team. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International. His work with Art of Healthcare and TDJ involve innovation and intellectual property development. He has international medical business development experience with Executive Hospital Group. With these companies, he has been able to pursue instrument and product design and development, app development, franchise development and hospital design and development. His work with Madaktari Africa has given him the opportunity to embrace the idea of creating sustainable healthcare in areas of need.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, he received his Bachelor of Science in psychology and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Iowa. He received his residency training in otolaryngology at Albany Medical Center. He has been in private practice with Blue Ridge Ear, Nose and Throat since 2000. He is board certified and is a member of the Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physician Executives American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

He has been married to Annmarie since 1989. They have four beautiful children: Ruby, Moses, Lila and Anabel. He loves to play guitar and has played in multiple bands throughout the years.

Known to many as the „Father of Telemedicine“, he developed the first Statewide telemedicine system, the first Correctional telemedicine program, the first tele-homecare technology, called „The Electronic House Call“, and the first telemedicine kiosk. His consulting activities have included NASA, DOD, HHS, the FCC, State Governments, WHO, multiple academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies. During the Clinton Administration he represented the USA to the G8 nations for telemedicine, and was appointed by former HHS Secretary Leavitt, to the Chronic Care Workgroup Committee.

He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, magna cum laude, a member of AOA, and did his residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he became Chief Medical Resident.

In 1970, he developed and started the first Division of General Medicine in the country at the University of Miami where he was Professor of Medicine and Chief of Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Other academic appointments include being Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was Director of the Telemedicine Institute, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Visiting Professor at Yale University School of Medicine.

Younghoon Kwon, M.D

Dr. Kwon is the USA’s only physician board-certified in Cardiology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on cardiac critical care, cardiac imaging and, cardiovascular-sleep interaction. He has a special interest in the physiological monitoring of patients in both acute care settings as well as sleep.  His research is funded by the NIH and a number of foundations. He is an editorial board member for the Physiological Measurement and Sleep journal and a task force member for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Critical Care Exam. He is originally from South Korea graduating from Kyungpook National University School of Medicine. He obtained an internal medicine residency at MCP Hahnemann (Drexel) after which he pursued clinical fellowships in Critical care (University of Pittsburgh), Sleep ( Hennepin County Medical Center), and Cardiology (University of Minnesota). He also has a special interest and board certification in Neurocritical Care. He is also board certified in  Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT. He has a Master in Science degree in Clinical Research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
